A few weeks ago I had the
idea to build a little shabby chic cottage!
It's made of foam board and
was build within a few minutes.
I had to remove the roof
after adding the scrap booking paper stripes because the foamboard was to thin!
It was warped due to the glue I used. The solution was to add another thicker
(1cm) piece of foam board under the first one.
As you can see, until now there is only one half of the house decorated with wallpaper. The first reason for this is that I don't have enough of the green/pink scrapbooking paper to decorate the whole room. I hope that I can find a shop where they sell this kind of paper. If not, I think it wouldn't be that bad to decorate the other part of the house with another wall paper?!
See you soon and have a nice day!!!!
Hugs, Lina
Hello Lina,
AntwortenLöschenTHat is very well done. I never tried building miniatures out of foam board. i cannot wait to se eit finished.
Big hug,

Hi Giac!
AntwortenLöschenThanks for your nice comment!
I always wanted to use foam board and I think this Little Cottage was a good start to try some things.
Now I know that 3mm foam board is to thin to glue something on it :(
Have a nice day!
Hugs, Lina
oh, your little cottage is fabulous! Very inspiring building work. I wish we could find foamboard in Australia.
AntwortenLöschenIt's getting pretty, Lina!
AntwortenLöschenMe encnatan los papeles que has utilizado, la combinación de colores es perfecta.
AntwortenLöschenVery nice room box. It has a good shape and I like that you have put the windows a little high, it makes a fashion clean look. It can sometimes be lucky, to be forced to alternative solutions, I think it looks pretty good, that you have 2 kinds of wallpaper and break this with a list. Very nice.

AntwortenLöschenBesos.
Your cottage will be wonderful. I like the wallpaper. I'm looking forward to see the progress.

Hi Lina, you are such a quick working miniaturist! And still the result looks neat and pretty. The cottage looks lovely and it's entirely a real "Lina" :D
AntwortenLöschenI hope you find another piece of the scrapbookpaper you used, for it's so nice. But if you don't, it won't be a problem for sometimes it's even more beautiful to use just a plain coloured wall opposite to one with a tiny pattern. Have fun and I am looking forward to your progress. Hugs, Liduina.
You are doing a fantastic job with this cottage. It will be nice to follow your project.
AntwortenLöschenHugs, Drora
It is so cute! I don't think it would be bad to put a different wallpaper on the other walls- or even a solid color that matches the other wallpapers. I can't wait to see what you do to it next- I LOVE the roof :)
AntwortenLöschenMi piace il tuo nuovo cottage, è davvero molto bello, adoro i colori e il modo in cui hai realizzato il tetto!
